iPhone 4 cases updates

iphone_4_bumper-small.jpgSince the announcement by Steve Jobs that the iPhone 4 will be available with a free bumper case the Apple store has put the price down to £0.00, and made it unavailable to buy. Speculation as to why this could be is rife, but our hunch is that Apple is hording the current stock to facilitate a big give away in the very near future. There is, as of yet no word as to which other suppliers will be to offer free cases to iPhone owners, but contenders could be Case-Mate or OtterBox. Both make great cases and will solve the issues regarding the loss of reception caused when handling the phone.

OtterBox have recently announced a new range of iPhone 4 cases which look really impressive. The Defender range features outstanding protection from the unique three apl2-i4xxx-20-c4otr.2.jpglayered design, and offers some of the highest levels of safety available for the iPhone 4. The range of Defender cases has been officially NAC tested to address the loss of signal issue, and it has passed with flying colours. There will be no affect to the reception your phone has when used with an OtterBox Defender case.

As well as OtterBox, there has also been a new range of cases for the iPhone 4 from an unknown company who have launched on the back of a joke about ‘antennagate’. Antenn-aid is a spoof iPhone 4 accessory that was started by 2 New York designers who wanted to have a giggle at Apple’s expense. The irony is that the joke really works, and is actually now in production. You can buy the iPhone 4 stickers through their online shop, and get a quick and cheap fix for the antenna problem. Although, we wouldn’t honestly recommend it as you’ll get your new iPhone covered in the sticky plastic glue that never comes off. Good joke though...
