Apple iPhone 4 signal issues

Here at cleverkit.com we try to keep abreast of the latest issues regarding the phones available on market and it seems at the moment that people are very concerned about the issues of the iPhone 4 and signal problems they are having.
Since its release on 24th June 2010, the iPhone blogs and press have been rife with tales from consumers who are having their signal drop out regularly regardless of whether they are in a high or low signal strength area. It was first brought to our attention when reading an article by Engadget about the professor who predicated it two weeks before the release date.
The issue seems to be created when people hold the phone in the wrong place and block the signal accidentally. “Touch means that a larger portion of antenna energy becomes heat and lost” the professor is quoted as saying. Apple initially responded with a press release stating that this is an issue affecting all phones and perhaps a mobile phone case would be suitable solution as it would prevent the human tissue contacting directly the phone itself.
“Gripping any mobile phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your iPhone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.”
So if the solution is that simple then you may want to consider looking at Case-Mate or Otterbox cases for the iPhone 4. These companies have both released recently new ranges which will be able to protect you iPhone from scrapes and knocks, but also add style and originality whilst fixing the pesky signal issues.
